Synopsis

In 1985, in rural Kinnakee, Kansas, 8-year-old Libby Day was the sole survivor of the massacre of her mother and two sisters. Her brother Sheridan is a crime buff. Today, Libby (Theron) makes a living from donations strangers send to the little girls they see on the news. When the donations start to dry up She has a hard time earning money when she is contacted by Lyle Worth (Holt) to appear at the “True Crimea” club. She reluctantly agreed to answer questions about her past for $700 back in 1985. Ben came to the breakfast table with his hair dyed black. He has a strained relationship with his mother Patty (Hendricks) and Michelle. The eldest sister mocks Ben about being alone and rumors about him at school. Ben hangs out with a satanic dealer named Trey Teepano. Meanwhile, their mother, Patty, is informed that her farm is being taken over. Although she does her best to survive at Worth’s club. Libby knew that most of the members believed her brother Ben was innocent. His conviction was based on Libby’s testimony. Still believing that Ben was guilty Libby also agreed to work with the club in exchange for much-needed money. Worth urged to visit Ben in prison.
